Creating the Perfect Wave

To create the perfect wave we asked Salon Director Calum Tierney how he created this Scandi blonde look.

The blonde spectrum may be vast but every year certain shades break through as hot trends and add in the perfect wave and you have one of the hottest looks right now.

Calum used three shades of Wella’s Premium colour, Koleston Perfect applying blonde highlights with a subtle low light giving an all over bright blonde that is clean, fresh and pure.

Using an ash light brown root fade at the top of the hair and then colour contouring around the face, a technique that we use at Terence Paul to really enhance the eyes and lift the cheekbones.

To style and create the wave effect he added System Professional Amplifying Foam to the hair whilst damp to amplify and texture the hair.

He then dried the hair and then sectioned it into small sections of around 2- 3cms each and used the Balmain curling wand to curl the hair, repeating the process along the sections of the hair until the whole head had been curled.

Next he gently brushed out the curl & finished with a Balmain texture spray to hold the waves

To add volume and thickness to the hair he added 16 inch Rapture hair extensions, these extentions are virtually undetectable and light and easy to wear. They work in harmony with your own hair and come in a variety of shades to compliment every hair colour and skin tone.
